The following message was received from out Jordan Meadows Community Council Officers:
May 5, 2014
Some of you may recall the presentations at Jordan Meadows Community Council meetings and the information booth at last years Night Out Against Crime concerning the redevelopment and expansion of Redwood Meadows Park on 400 North.
Since that time, the process for acquiring the necessary funds to complete the project has been progressing. Thanks to the hard work of our City Councilman James Rogers, and others, the city council has tentatively approved over $400,000.00 in grant money for the project.
The final approve/disapprove vote by the council will take place after public comment during the regular council meeting Tuesday evening, May 6, 2014, at 7:00 PM. sharp. The meeting will be in the council chambers on the 3rd floor of the City and County Building in downtown Salt Lake.
We are asking that, if at all possible, you attend along with your neighbors, to show support for the park project, and to urge the City Council to approve the money. Although it is not required, you may address the council and express why it is important to you, and our community, to make this wonderful improvement. There are cards outside of the council chambers that you can fill out indicating your desire to speak, or you may write down any comments that you have so that they become part of the official record.
We hope that you will be able to attend to help ensure we, as a community, continue to receive important improvements in our neighborhoods! We look forward to seeing you Tuesday evening!
With best regards,
Jordan Meadows Community Council Officers
Jo Ann Anderson, Chair
Cal Noyce, Vice Chair
Ingrid Sanabria, Secretary
Roger Gridley, Treasurer
If you are able, we encourage you to attend tonight’s meeting, as the Board feels this park will help vastly improve the quality of our community.
